It definitely helped with the water coming in to the house but they do not wear very well. You have to be careful when wringing them out. Ours tore after the second time we used them.I got these because I needed rectangular water absorbent pads, rather than the rolls. They aren't stuffed very much and the "kit" seems pretty expensive, considering the middling quality. But they do the trick, although I wish they were thicker and had better stuffing.These are basically useless. The Miles Kimball snakes absorb more water (although those are not ideal either). Between these and towels, I much preferred laying out the towels to absorb water, since they absorb basically as much and can be washed and dried much quicker than these. My biggest problem with these snakes and kits is that, not only do they not absorb that much water, but even when they are not fully wet, the water seeps around them.My wife has tried several different brands, none come close to this product.It physically looks better and it definitely performs better.Our indoor garage's floor is out a slight angle.So, if it is raining the water runs toward our floor cabinets and in the summerif we don't remember to turn the AC off the last few blocks it runs across thefloor as well.This product make cost more but the quality and I am hoping with time thelongevity will make it a better bargain.Mountain ManOnly lasted a few times through the dryer. Material is weak. Should be no more than 20 dollars. Is absorbent. But over pricedWorks very well at stoping water from entering my stair well. It lets little water by, but I wasn't expecting it to stop 100%. My picture shows it holding back 3 inches during a flash flood. The Orange rags are just there to help out, it didn't really need them.good productGood for leaks. Good absorption and dries after use.
